Two of DSD’s leading endurance athletes, Meghan Ryan and Emmet Jennings took to Spain this weekend to race the Valencia Half Marathon.
In a race that has become the fastest Half Marathon of 2023, both put in very strong runs to post new personal bests for the distance.
In perfect weather conditions, Emmet set off with the leading Elite women, running strongly through 10 miles in 49.07. Emmet stayed with the leading women to the end finishing in a new PB of 64.52.
Further back Meghan was also running strongly coming through 10K in an impressive 36.47. Although running much of the second half on her own, Meghan stayed strong through 10 miles (57.40), coming home in a new PB of 75.11.
