Emmet Jennings produced another fine performance on the roads again yesterday to win the Irish Life Fingal 10K. Emmet was in the lead group from the start, pressing the pace and probing for weaknesses. At the halfway mark Emmet and Clonliffe’s Sergiu Ciobanu broke away and a thrilling battle ensured. Emmet gained a small lead with 2K to go and held on to win by 22 seconds.
Meghan Ryan was also in great form in Fingal finishing 2nd in the Women’s race in 35.36.
Serena Tuffy was also racing and finished in 9th in a PB of 37.50
All 3 will now turn their attention to the National 10mile next weekend in the Phoenix park. Meghan and Serena will be Joined by Fiona Clinton as they look to add the National 10 mile team championship to the 5 mile title they won in June.
